Program for Students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing

The Suburban Schools' Program is a collaborative initiative between Ralston Public Schools, Millard Public Schools, and Papillion-La Vista Community Schools, designed to support the unique needs of students with hearing loss. Initially created to serve school-age students, the program expanded in 2007 to include services for children from birth through age five. Today, the program offers a range of support, including itinerant teachers of the deaf and hard of hearing who work directly with students in their neighborhood schools. Through partnerships with additional districts, the Suburban Schools' Program now serves students across the region, helping ensure access to quality education and communication support tailored to each learner's needs.
