Internet crimes against children are on the rise, and law enforcement is responding. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has an Internet Crimes against Children Task Force that cooperates with the FBI and other agencies to prevent sexual exploitation of children on the internet.
Internet crimes include child pornography and using technology to lure children into situations where they may be arrested, sexually assaulted, or used to create pornography.
